Meet Your Teacher
Hi, I'm Jessica Woodburn (she/her)! I have over 15 years of experience teaching a variety of adult education classes and am so excited to lead your craft party! I live in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood of Chicago with my husband, 3-year-old son, and two dogs. I am passionate about crafting that keeps our planet happy!
I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. I always like to have my hands busy and I have dabbled in many different craft disciplines including knitting, crochet, wood-burning, stained glass, sewing and more. I am also a passionate environmentalist and began using as much up-cycled, second-hand or discarded material as possible in my makes about 5 years ago.
In addition to teaching your craft party, I also have an art brand called Holzbrennen Studio. I sell items I make and also create art pieces using up-cycled materials including runway looks. My first runway look, "Party Trash", was awarded 5th place at the 2023 Trashion Revolution and also featured in the Chicago Tribune. This and my second runway look, "Hræfn", were both made entirely from discarded single-use plastic.
